Jasmine
Having perhaps one of the most intoxicating floral scents, jasmine is indispensable in perfumery. The primary two types used are the greener, animalic Jasminum sambac and the fruity, rich Jasminum grandiflorum. Since it takes around 8000 handpicked flowers to produce just a gram of jasmine absolute, there is no question why jasmine is so precious. Jasmine’s heady, sensual muskiness makes it a bold and essential note in so many floral fragrances.
