Voix Humaine 8

Voix Humaine 8 is an organ stop that dates back to the 1500s, it utilises a wooden reed intended to approximate the sound of a male chorus singing in the distance. Hence the name, Human Voice. In combination with an airy and spacious acoustical environment, this achieved somewhat of a mimetic effect, replete with tremolo and vibrato effects.

Vocal chords rendered in scent, like the musky ambery warmth of human breath. A sturdy voice expressed in distinct layers: clear bright bergamot and citrusy elemi rests on a lush base of moss washed in incense and creamy resins. A graceful tone is sustained throughout the work.
