Tangy | Fruity | Bright

In Scusami (“I’m Sorry), Filippo Sorcinelli asks: what takes place when we seek forgiveness? What is the very character of an apology upon our being? For something changes. We admit a fault to our being, the weight of our actions, our being-in-the-world with others. We overcome adversity. Contained in the utterance of an apology is something that transcends simply and dry words.

Don’t ask for forgiveness … weep for a courage that moves the colors of change, giving suffered flowers and breath on the petals. Forgive me” - Filippo Sorcinelli

Scusami constructs a bouquet as sweet as memory, flowers and fruits lost to time, flora which blooms in the heart, and new season fruits marking a new era - an opportunity to start anew. It captures the bittersweet spirit of forgiveness in scent, and in an ode to forgiveness bursts with amiable and mouth-watering notes of bergamot, grapefruit, mirabelle plum, and an impression of passionfruit. This is met with a musky floral softness, a sizzling green floral heart of cassis, lily of the valley, ylang-ylang, and freesia crisscrossed with powdery heliotrope and musky ambrette seed. Scusami tingles throughout the entirety of its lifespan - it represents the lingering texture and sensation of an apology, the way it diffuses the tension in the atmosphere. All at once, it exalts and exonerates.
