A fresh spicy unisex fragrance.

Hudson River NY is one of Gravel's later creations and refers to the pebbles that make each bottle unique and are still added by hand. The idea for the name Gravel came from a walk Michael Knudsen took along the Hudson River, where he first took pebbles from the Hudson and added them to a perfume. It was on this day that the concept for Gravel was born.

The idea behind it was to make perfume more interesting for men in the USA, since back then men rejected perfume in the USA. This was to change in the late 50s and early 60s thanks to Gravel. After the success of A Man's Cologne, which was the first men's perfume in the USA, he kept the concept of gravel in each flacon and built the Gravel brand, around the ingredient gravel, for men’s fragrances, women’s fragrances as well as unisex perfumes.

This initially fresh, floral fragrance unfolds its full aromas after a short period on the skin and develops a woody, spicy note that is rounded off by a subtle vanilla note.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Geranium
Heart Notes: Lavender, Coriander, Cardamom
Base Notes: Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Cedar, Precious Woods

Perfumer: Michael Knudsen
