FILS DE DIEU DU RIZ ET DES AGRUMES
“He brings forth the sunshine!”
The almost liturgical line evokes a bright, sunlit atmosphere where joy and satiation rule the day. And indeed there is nary a non-vivid note in this most approachable of État Libre d'Orange fragrances.
Seemingly inspired by food, with steamed rice, green Japanese shiso, and coconut shreds sprinkled with fiery, spicy ginger and steeped in bright citrus juices, like a dish out of Far Eastern cuisine, Fis de Dieu is so much more than savoury or gourmand.
Mane Laboratory’s Jungle Essence technology supplies the lactonic, milky impression of raw coconuts roughly cut in two, oozing coconut water, and green husks of cardamom, which enhance the creamy and powdery facets of jasmine. We’re hard pressed to call this simply food-like, and you would be too! It’s soft, nicely herbal at times, alluringly animalic in special moments, even leathery when the mood strikes as the temperatures rise.
A beautiful enigma of a fragrance, with a sensuous touch which awaits to be discovered on the warmth of your own skin.
