Verbena

The leaves of the flowering shrub Aloysia citrodora, commonly known as verbena or lemon verbena, have a fresh, citrusy scent with a greenish tinge.

Due to its photosensitising properties, the essential oil is restricted for use in fragrances by the European Union, however, a synthetic accord can be created as an alternative.
