Tuberose
This intoxicating white floral has a persona of seduction and voluptuousness. The scent of tuberose is exotic, rich, creamy and often camphorous. Despite the name, it’s more closely related to the lily, and has nothing in common with roses.
Tuberose absolute is incredibly expensive, seeing as over 7000 kilograms of flowers are needed to produce just one kilo of the raw material. Because of this, it is often recreated, or the absolute is used in tiny amounts and fleshed out with cheaper materials.
You’ll often see tuberose blended with other white florals like jasmine and gardenia, but since its personality is so strong, it can easily be the star.
