Painter and poet, Stéphane Humbert Lucas studied painting in the south of France with a Flemish master and specialised in the tempera technique where he was obsessed with the combination of pigments and their texture.
Convinced that every colour had a smell, he found out about his Synaesthesia, a perceptual phenomenon in which the stimulation of his sight triggers his smell at the same time. Mixing colours was then a way to create new smells.
A determining encounter with the respected perfumer Henri Sorsana (Annick Goutal, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Reminiscence) pushed the self-taught perfumer to express his artistic ambivalences by using his synaesthesia, to create fragrances.
Imagine big, think outside the box, break the cultural barriers and unite them together, always go further in beauty and quality.
These are the brand values of Stephane Humbert Lucas Paris.
